Separate mouse sensitivity from cursor confinement
For an overly fast camera, check the in-game sensitivity option; for a cursor leaving the game window, check the cursor-lock option added in 1.04. The sensitivity advice is a player report from October 28. The dual-monitor confinement feature is a developer announcement, not a tested fix for every mouse problem.

Choose the matching symptom
- The camera turns too far for a small movement: start with the game’s sensitivity setting.
- The pointer escapes to another monitor: inspect the option to lock the cursor within the game window.
- Melee attacks do not follow the direction you expect: inspect Free Camera in Melee Combat, a separate targeting choice.
Use a reversible one-setting check
- Record your current sensitivity, window mode and relevant cursor-lock value.
- For look speed, change sensitivity by a modest amount and compare a similar camera movement.
- For confinement, use the option actually displayed in your version and check whether the cursor remains within the game window during the relevant interaction.
- Restore the recorded value if it does not help. Change another setting only after you know the first result.
What has not been established
The reviewed sources do not specify a universal numeric sensitivity, a current menu label for cursor lock, an operating-system mouse fix or a particular hotkey. They also do not prove that windowed and fullscreen modes behave identically. Do not apply another game’s configuration file or replace settings files on this evidence.
If the problem persists
Record the build, mouse/input device, number of displays, window mode and the exact interaction that releases the cursor or produces excessive movement. Distinguish a repeatable escape from intentional interaction outside the game. That description is more useful than changing sensitivity and targeting simultaneously.
The check is complete when…
You have isolated look speed, window confinement or melee targeting and know which single change affected it. A preference change is not proof that every mouse bug has been fixed.
